„Climb with courage, strength, and caution“
Boris Textor, born in 1986, is an expedition-experienced IFMGA/UIAGM mountain and ski guide. Originally from the Netherlands, he has been living and working in the Alps for many years. A spirit of adventure and the drive to explore new possibilities have shaped his mountaineering career.
He has extensive expedition experience, including in Kyrgyzstan, where he led several expeditions that resulted in multiple first ascents. In Nepal, he climbed Ama Dablam; in India, he was active in the Chaukhamba Massif (Summit Chaukhamba, 7.138m) and in Zanskar, where he opened new routes. In Patagonia, he summited iconic peaks such as Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy. In addition, he climbed all 82 Alpine four-thousand-metre peaks in just 68 days.
His work as a mountain guide is inspired by the words of British alpinist Edward Whymper: "Climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are nothing without prudence. A moment of negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime."
Alongside his guiding work, Boris has been coaching talented Dutch alpinists for several years.
