1:1 HAP (Pakistani Guide)

Our 1:1 High-Altitude Porter (HAP) will be available for your support throughout the mountain activity above the Broad Peak Base Camp. Once the route and high camps are set up, you can proceed at your own pace. The planning of the summit attempt depends on the conditions (wind, precipitation, hazards), and our expedition leader can ideally integrate you into the overall team with a 1:1 HAP.

Your high-altitude porter will additionally assist you with transporting your personal equipment. They will accompany you to the high camps and, if possible, also during the summit attempt. Weight to be handed over:

• Transfer to Camp 3 (approx. 7,100m) at Broad Peak: max. 10kg
• Transfer beyond Camp 3 / Summit attempt: max. 5kg

In Pakistan, there is a limited number of capable mountaineers who work as HAPs. Together with our agency, we select the best individuals for this job, personally train them, and prepare them for our expeditions. There are very few Pakistanis whom we can deploy for the leadership work during the Broad Peak ascent. Accordingly, timely booking on your part is necessary: advantageously at least 6 months before the season begins. The package includes the personal equipment of the HAP, including their expedition participation costs:

• In case of late booking, we can look for an HAP, possibly externally, or alternatively, we can hire a Sherpa from Nepal or an international IVBV mountain guide with high-altitude experience for an additional fee.
• Material transport only: Porters can also be booked jointly with other participants (proportionally): The function of the "mountain guide" with personal support is not included.
