This start option offers a varied introduction to your Tibet tour

Lhasa is the capital of Tibet. It was founded in the 7th century at a temple where the Potala Palace is located today. Lhasa still has great religious significance for Buddhism and is home to many monks.

Tibet is an extensive highland in Central Asia, north of the Himalayas and an autonomous region of the People's Republic of China. With its unique culture, Tibet is a dream destination for curious travelers. Sensational natural scenery coupled with spiritual charisma - prayer flags, monasteries, monks and pilgrims.

This extension option is the ideal introduction to all our Tibet treks and expeditions.

Arrival with the respective expedition, possibly 1-2 days earlier due to visa and flight regulations to Lhasa:

• Day 1: Flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa
• Day 2: Lhasa, situated at 3600 meters above sea level in the valley of the Kyi Chu, tributary of the Brahmaputra, in the middle of the Tibetan High Mountains, offers a fascinating scenery. We take a tour to Potola Palace and Jokhang Temple, the most sacred sites in Tibet.
• Day 3: Drive from Lhasa to Shigatse (Xigatse). Visit to Tashulunpo Monastery, dating from the 15th century, once the largest active monastery in Tibet.
• Day 4: Drive to Tingri

Connection to the respective expedition (Cho Oyu, Everest, NorthCol, Lakpa Ri) or to the ABC trek.
