Our expedition to K2 leads through the Baltoro, Pakistan, to the classical routes along the Abruzzi spur. This almost perfect pyramid stands high above the Karakoram and can be deemed the mountain of mountains for mountaineers. It is steeper than Everest or any of the other 8000m peaks, hence the ascent requires experience in rope work at high altitude.
