Overview
Interlaken, located in the heart of the Bernese Oberland, perfectly situated for mountaineering, climbing, and training, is our base camp for this event. We cordially invite you to learn more about theoretical and practical aspects of big mountain expeditions and to get to know our team.
During this event, we will address questions regarding our upcoming expedition, discuss further preparations, and explore together the world-famous and spectacular mountain scenery of the Bernese Oberland. Prepare yourself for your expedition and gain valuable firsthand tips.

Itinerary Expedition Event Bern Alps - Interlaken
Trip Itinerary Xvent Interlaken (3 Days)
Arrival to Interlaken, the exact location to meet will be communicated to participants.
Depending on arrival-time:
- at 3:00 PM: Endurance training, mountain run
- at 7:00 PM: Dinner, followed by an expedition lecture, briefing
Discussion of equipment for expeditions and planned tour, suitable for equipment testing. Breakfast, then departure into the mountains for a high camp bivouac, possibly including a short tour.
In the morning, we will once again enjoy the mountain scenery of the Bernese Oberland. Participants can undertake self-guided tours according to their level of ability. Then the descent will take place. Extension program upon request or departure in the afternoon.
Important note: Tours may be made more difficult or completely thwarted due to weather conditions. In such cases, there are still plenty of options to train in the mountains around Interlaken and to fill our event with additional educational content (both theory and practice).

Participation requirements
Prerequisites for participation: You are either a participant in one of our expeditions or interested in joining one, and you are an experienced independent alpinist/mountaineer.
Technical requirements: Basic knowledge of using crampons and ice axe (minimum level: basic ice course, generally higher), as well as familiarity with common safety techniques in high-altitude environments. Experience in alpine ice and rock climbing is advantageous.
- Winter session: Please indicate your experience with ski touring, alternatively snowshoeing (which can be rented).
Physical requirements: Fitness for a tour involving up to 1000 meters of elevation gain, willingness to forego comfort for a night (high camp).
Important note: This event is not a basic course. Basic mountaineering skills are not taught but are expected from all participants. You must be proficient in the chosen high-altitude tours; no guiding services will be provided.

Costs & Services
Event costs: Participants in our SummitClimb expeditions take part in independent training and intensive preparation for upcoming expeditions. The event is led by our team with at least one experienced expedition professional. Interested parties can register at the normal price and will be credited the difference when they subsequently book an expedition.
