Overview
Kilimanjaro – the easy climb: Fulfill your dream of standing on the highest point of Africa! Our professional team will accompany you and ensure a safe trip, giving you the best chance to reach the summit.
The Rongai-Mawenzi Route offers a gentle, diverse climb with the ascent from the north-east and descent over the southern slopes of the Marangu Route. This itinerary provides with a perfect elevation profile so that we can adapt to the thin air slowly and comfortably. Itinerary Kilimanjaro (9 Days)
Meet and greet by our staff at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha, Tanzania. From there transfer directly to the hotel.
After breakfast, we drive to the National Park entrance gate. We drive through a region of lush vegetation, coffee, and banana plantations to the north side of Kilimanjaro. The journey continues through the forest area to Nale Moru, the starting point of the hike. After registration and lunch, we hike up a narrow path along the corn and potato fields. We enter the Rongai forests and with a bit of luck, we can observe wild animals there. After a couple of hours, we leave the forest area and reach our first camp.

You are accompanied by our local guides, the expedition leader, and our support team, all in radio contact with each other. This way, individual groups can be formed if necessary, each of them ascending at their own pace. The terrain leads over a gravel path and becomes steeper towards the top to reach Gilman's Point ( 5,685 m / 18,652 ft). From here, you hike along the summit plateau's outer crater rim. The terrain is flat and in appx 1-2 hours, you reach the highest point of Africa.
